There are thousands of fashion bloggers out there, but finding a style influencer to follow who understands your struggle with finding pants that actually hit below your ankles, shorts that cover your arse, and dresses that leave something to be desired is NOT an easy task. Tall fashion bloggers are few and far between, so today, I wanted to introduce myself and share some tips on finding clothing that fits when you’ve been given the gift of height (and lots of it).
But before we dive into more about me and my tall fashion tips, here are some photos of me towering over my friends like it’s my job:
TALL FASHION BLOGGERS | CLOTHING AND STYLE INSPIRATION FOR WOMEN 5’9” AND UP
A little bit about me: I’m Cameron! I’m 5’10”, which I know to some of you will seem on the low end of the tall-girl scale. I totally get that! However, in a sea of average-height and petite bloggers, if you’re looking for someone physically relatable to reference for outfit and style inspiration, I 100% understand the struggle of shopping when you’re 5’9”+ and want to help.
As a tall fashion blogger, I look for clothing that will make me look polished and stylish, so that’s what you can expect if you follow me here on my blog, Instagram, or Facebook. On Instagram, I share an outfit or two every day, so you can regularly see how trendy pieces fit on a taller body. And on Facebook, I have a tall Tuesday feature, where every week I share a few new, cool items I’ve found online in tall sizes.
Here on my blog, I share more in-depth content, including this detailed piece on where to shop for clothes if you’re over 5’9”. I also have a tall category on my shop page (view it here), where I frequently link to new dresses, skirts, tops, and outerwear that I’ve found online in tall sizes. Not clothing that may or may not fit you if you’re tall—items that were specifically made for taller women.
A few tips from a tall fashion blogger:
I exclusively wear Madewell jeans. They have both tall AND taller sizes. The tall size is for women between 5’9” and 5’11”, and the taller size is for women over 6’0”. I absolutely LOVE, love, love my Madewell jeans (see them in recent posts here and here). And never in my life have I seen a retailer that has sizes for women at so many different heights. Needless to say, I highly recommend Madewell if you’re tall and on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans.
I like to shop at Asos for affordable dresses that come in tall sizes. When, I need a cute dress for a wedding, date night, or GNO, I can always find something there. Asos always has all of the trendy styles you’re looking for, as well as an entire section dedicate to women 5’9” and up.
For business casual and professional wear, J.Crew and Banana Republic both carry tall sizes. You can find dresses, trousers, blazers, and button downs for your tall frame at both retailers. I work in an office environment where I’m expected to look professional every day, so I totally get the frustration trying to find dresses and skirts that hit at or below the knee.
If you’ve been on the hunt for tall fashion bloggers to follow, I hope you’ll make me one of them. 🙂 Want more tall tips and shopping ideas?
