Instagram Roundup + Spring and Summer Plans

Happy Monday, loves! Spring is officially here TOMORROW. Can you believe that? We are a quarter of the way through with 2018. So for today’s post, I want to share some of my recent favorite posts from Instagram, followed by some of my plans for spring and summer!

I am SUPER excited that two of my best friends are getting married this year. I’m co-matron-of-honor for both set of friends, so I have my hands full planning bachelorette parties and showers. I’ll be heading to Sedona, Arizona in June with a group of girls for one bachelorette party and Las Vegas, Nevada in September with a second group. My wheels have been spinning, spinning, spinning coordinating hotels, flights, dates, and guest lists with the other maids-of-honor, but it’s been SO FUN and I can’t wait to get the trips started with my best girl friends.

I’ll also be heading to Nashville in August for the Taylor Swift concert, which I’m probably a little bit too excited about. I’m [shamelessly] a huge fan of hers and haven’t been able to get tickets to her last two tours. I am THRILLED to get to go this year.

Cody and I haven’t been on a vacation just the two of us since we got married in 2016, so this year, we’ve decided both of us get to pick one place to visit. Neither of us have made selections yet, but I’m thinking New York City, Chicago, and Seattle are top contenders.

My brother graduates from college this year, so a quick trip to Emporia, Kansas is on the books for May. It seems unbelievable that my little brother is old enough to be graduating from college and have a job, but here we are.

On the home front, Cody and I are finishing out our laundry room in the next couple of weeks. Right now, our powder room downstairs is open to our washer/dryer (and unsightly, outdated cabinets), so we ordered sliding doors over the weekend to close the space off and give it a more finished look. I’ll have some before and after photos for you guys in the coming weeks. We’re also going to be tiling our wet bar, which I’m SO EXCITED about.

We have this odd little unused opening between our kitchen and living room right now that serves as a catch-all for junk. We’re going to cover it with some beautiful Moroccan-style tiles and add shelves to create a gorgeous area for our wine glasses and bar accessories. This is the last big project we have for downstairs in our house, so I’m ready to get it finished. Read about our kitchen renovation here.

How are your spring and summers shaping up? Busy, busy, busy?
