Easter Sunday Dress
Monday, we meet again. How do the weekends fly by so quickly? I swear I blink and they’re gone. Including today, there are only two Mondays left before Easter is upon us, which means little girls in too-big bows and their Sunday best will descend the city. Although I am a proponent of big bows, I’ll probably opt for an outfit and hair similar to the look I’m sharing today!
This dress is as easy as it is pretty. There’s elastic at the waist (hello, huge lunch), and a flattering v-shape at the neckline. You won’t be annoyingly pulling your skirt down or your top up in this dress. Plus, the fabric is soft and flowwy, so you’ll be comfortable all day long! I’m also a huge fan of this floral print. It’s pink and springy, but it also has a funky, graphic element to it that I love.
I’ve paired this dress with my favorite white platform sandals. The exact sandals I’m wearing are sold out, but I’ve linked two similar pairs above. When I first bought these white sandals, I didn’t think I’d wear them as much as I do. I figured I’d wear them occasionally when I was tired of my nude and black sandals, but during the summertime, I don’t even put these shoes away in my closet. I just have them sitting out because I wear them so often.
And of course, if you’re looking to dress up a little bit more for Easter, a pair of nude pumps or slingback sandals would also go beautifully with this piece. That’s another thing I love about it! Dress it up, dress it down—it all works!
When I see dresses like this online or on the rack, my first reaction is always something like “Oh it’s so pretty, but I usually don’t wear that sort of thing out and about.” And then I get invited to a baby shower, wait until the last minute to dig through my closet, and then feel like I have nothing to wear. This is one of those dresses that would be great for bridal showers, baby showers, summer weddings, and beyond.
Let me know if you have any questions on sizing or fit on this dress! And of course, have a quick and painless Monday.
