I have a complicated history with rompers. I typically don’t wear them since they tend to run a little short on me, but this piece has made the a believer in the power of the romper. I don’t know if it’s the dramatic ruffle sleeves, the off-the-shoulder neckline, or the flattering tie waist, but this black romper is the BEST thing I’ve bought added to my closet this summer―hands down.
I 100% like everything that I share with you guys on this blog, but I LOVEEEEE this romper. Like I said, I usually don’t buy rompers at all, so I took a risk when I saw this one at Chicwish. The dramatic ruffle sleeves made me really want this romper to work on my body, so when it arrived in the mail, I was super pumped and nervous the first time I tried it on.
My husband was rolling his eyes at me because I was running around/dancing when I saw that it fit AND looked good. Men don’t get it, you guys. But seriously, I was truly excited the first time I tried this on, because it really is so stinkin’ cute. The ruffled sleeves are so fun, and you guys know I love anything off-the-shoulder.
What I also love about this romper is it comes with a little sash to tie around your waist, but you could also style it with whatever belt you like! You can make it more feminine or edgy depending on the styling, which makes it a great, versatile piece. This will also be a piece to take into early fall. It would be super cute paired with little booties.
This romper also comes in FOUR fantastic colors. I wanted to buy the other three as soon as I tried this one on and Cody, my husband, had to talk me down. I still might get the white one for next summer (he doesn’t have to know 🙂 ). Plus, it’s less than $50, so don’t even worry about breaking the bank! For real, the more I keep talking about this romper, the more I love it.
On a more personal note, in this post I talked a little bit about our house hunt, which is not going very well. 🙁 Today, we’re walking a fixer-upper in Dallas with a contractor to get a better idea of the scope of work and cost of doing a renovation. I’ll keep you guys updated via Instagram stories, but wish us luck! We need it.
